About

Rewilding the world around us, and within us

"Rewilding". Sit 100 people in a room and ask them to define that word and you'll get close to 100 different answers.

A common thread however, is the idea of Ecosystem Engineers, animals that 'rewild' the landscapes they live within, and introducing these species back into our lands.

However, if there was one species, one ecosystem engineer that a reintroduction of would have the greatest impact, it wouldn't be the wolf, or the wild boar, but the wild human.

Symbiosis explores this idea, of how by rewilding our cities and selves, we could rewild the rest of the world.

Learnings from wild people

"What does a wild person look like?" is similar to asking "How long is a length of string?". Wild people, and rewilding at large, is a space characterized by diversity, backgrounds and people, something Symbiosis aims to capture in interviews.

Instead of looking at rewilding in the conventional sense, we look at the people that are rewilding their careers, their urban spaces, and even their minds.
